I’m not sure if the jam I made yesterday counts as this year’s or last year’s, given it was made with the frozen remains of last year’s blueberry crop. Either way, it’s rather delicious, and I’m pleased with myself for having advanced my jam-making skills. Until a couple of years ago, my jam-making skills were unknown and untested. It was Ever since writing my last post (about recipe books) I keep coming across ones I’d forgotten about and have neglected to re-shelve in their proper place. I still don’t think we’ve hit 100 yet though… However, looking at them all last time, I realised there’s at least two I’ve never read – they’re by Heston Blumenthal and related to two TV …or at least, where the beginning usually is these days. Which, in terms of food, is our collection of recipe books. Yep, I’m the kind of food-loving girl who can quite happily while away an afternoon reading recipes and tales of food, imagining the tastes and textures of the ingredients and finished dishes… and thinking about how I might As you could probably tell, I’ve struggled a little to find things to write about here. So I’ve made the obvious decision that this blog will now open up to thoughts & discussion about all kinds of food, rather than just being about At last! The webshop is (should be!) all sorted and almost-fully up there. The only thing I have left to do are add in some photos of new products. It seems to have taken forever, so my humblest apologies to those of you who’ve been waiting for it to happen. I hope you believe me when I …is that if you get ill, the business has to kind of go ‘on hold’ until you get better. The really annoying thing right now is that we’re not seriously ill at all. But we do have stinking colds, and so have had to pull out of the Workhouse’s Green Fayre this weekend Not a happy Tigg right Anyone else remember a song called “After the ball was over”? No? Ah well, never mind then. What I actually did after the show (the Welsh Food Festival at Glansevern Hall) was go home, unload the car, cook dinner, and go to bed. Exciting, eh? Yeah, I know how to live… It was a great weekend though. The weather mostly held out Hopefully we won’t have to re-build the site again in the near future.
